Millions of companies use LinkedIn Company Pages to share content and opportunities. LinkedIn is now introducing a new way to highlight your individual brands with LinkedIn Showcase Pages. Showcase Pages are extensions of your Company Page, designed for spotlighting a brand, business unit, or initiative. You may create a page for aspects of your business with their own messages and audience segments to share with. As with a Company Page, you can share Company Updates and Sponsored Updates with LinkedIn members who can now follow the aspects of your business they’re interested in. Showcase Pages are aimed at building relationships with LinkedIn members. For more campaign-based efforts, use our Sponsored Updates, Sponsored InMail, or display advertising products.
According a post form their blog, “Showcase Pages are dedicated pages that allow companies to highlight different aspects of their business and build relationships with the right community. Whether it’s a brand, a business unit, or an initiative, following a Showcase Page will provide you the updates you are most interested in.” Mashable.com reports that LinkedIn hopes that brands will start focusing their content to specific audiences. Companies can operate up to 10 Showcase Pages, but LinkedIn says it will work with larger companies that have the need (and manpower) to operate more.
